I think Hannah might be the first British player to win an Orange Bowl singles title on clay. Murray (x2), Ren and Morgan (am I missing anyone?) were all on hard court.
Did Andy Murray win the orange bowl? When was that? And who is Ren, not a name I know? Is that a male player or girl? Thanks
Murray won the 12 and 14 Orange Bowl. Jessica Ren was a contemporary of Laura Robson and one of two tennis playing sisters.
Anyway my stat is WRONG (hangs head in shame) - the younger age groups have always been played on clay. Jamie Delgado and Ben Gusic-Wan were other winners.

Thanks Vicman,
thats intereting re Jessica Ren. I recall a documentary a few years ago on BBC about two British tennis playing sisters at the Orange Bowl, their dad coached them and had given up a well paid job as a trader in the city. he seemed quite pushy. could that be the same sisters?
Great stuff, was disappointed when she lost the U14 final last year but her progress since then has been remarkable. If she keeps this up she won't be under the public radar for much longer, already Wilson are featuring her on social media videos.

Yes Jessica and Jennifer Ren. Their father gave up his full time job as an architect to support them.
I assume Hannahs next events will be the Australian events.
I suppose then a mix of seniors and juniors in the run up Wimbledon.
I dont think its a given that Hannah will go to Australia. although Id imagine shed want to give all the Junior GS a go at some point. Its a long way to go for the tournament, there is only one other Junior tournament in Australia before it a J300. Looks like the Aus Open junior entry deadline is Tuesday so should find out soon.
Think Hannahs birthday is sometime in February, she has played 5 adult tournaments and can play up to 8 before her birthday when this increases to 10. will be interesting to see what tournaments are selected. If she doesnt go to Australia then might play 1 or 2 of the UK ITFs. If not Id imagine April time if there are any and then some grass court ones.
Colette (Zoo Tennis) has included several quotes from Hannah and Ben Haran (her coach) in her latest blog Within it is the statement "Klugman will be making her first trip to Australia next month, to compete in the J300 in Traralgon and the Australian Open Junior Championships"
I don't think Ben Haran gets the recognition he deserves, probably as he works at a private school rather than a national academy.
As well as Hannah Klugman he has also coached Jack Draper and the likes of George Loffhagen to name but a few.

Thanks for the info/link. I notice after the Open finishes there is an ITF60 event. I wonder if that might interest her while down there. Might be a bit weaker than a European ITF60 event.
I notice that Laura Deigman has been with Hannah for some weeks now, and deserves a lot of credit (along with othesr in the team) forthe support given to Hannah

I think Laura's been with her some time. At least since summer.
She's Hannah's fitness coach, I believe. And has been doing a great job, as you say.
Also, to anyone, now that Hannah is going to be top-10 at the end of the year, does that have any impact in terms of number of events, number of wildcards, funding or anything?
The 2023 Junior Exempt programme was a follows:
Players ranked 6-10: 1 place in a World Tennis Tour event up to 40k, 4 places in events up to 25k
Players ranked 11-20: 1 place in a World Tennis Tour event up to 25k, 4 places in 15k events
The 2024 Junior Accelerator programme gives 2023 year-end junior ranked 6 to 10: main draw entry to 2 tournaments up to W50 and 3 tournaments up to W35. Year end ranked 11 to 20 get 1 tournament up to W50 and 4 tournaments up to W35.
Year end Top 5 get 4 additional adult tournaments on the AER quota and up to 3 additional adult WCs for every birth year until they are 18.
Now Hannah has won this at just 14 is there any point to her playing it again next year?
I guess it all depends on the next year. If she continues to progress how she has then there is a good chance that she does not. However as Lambda has said if you finish in the top 5 of the junior rankings you can then get an additional 4 adult tournaments added to your allowance. between 14 & 15 you are restricted to 8, 15-16 10, 16-17 12. So if she finishes in the top 5 at the end of next years junior rankings she could play 16 adult tournaments as a 16 year old.
Obviously Hannah might secure top 5 before this tournament happens. But if the points From this dropping off might mean she drops out of the top 5 then I guess that would be a reason to play.
