Blake goes long and so misses the first bp but some more really powerful hitting secures him the 2nd break - 5-2.
Some of Andy's shot-making is a little sloppy but Blake's power is just too much right now. The Murray 2nd serve is a liability - against a top 10 player, even on a slow court it's not fast enough and doesn't have enough variety. It's unfortunately, simply inviting Blake to have a swing at it.
15-0: Long baseline rally, both players hitting heavy topspin shots and Blake is the first to crack, going for a winner and missing the baseline by several inches.
15-15: Grrrr, Andy !!!! After a really cleverly constructed point, he goes for a daft dropshot early in the rally
15-30: ue from Andy
15-40: forced error, big hitting from blake
30-40
but Blake then breaks and takes the set with some powerful shot-making
The problem Andy's having is that he's a little over-powered by Blake once they get into the rallies so he's trying to go for the lines but it's not working.
Blake serving, start of set 2:
15-0: Murray goes for a forehand winner but sends it long.
30-0: Murray goes for his trademark backhand down the line but wasn't in the right position and he nets the shot,
40-0: Blake shows that he had variety aswell as brute power with a delicate drop shot winner
40-15: Blake unleashes a single-handed backhand down the line but it hits the top of the net
I read on another board that his first serve % was 75% - but he only won 42% of them.
In that case it's just Blake playing better than Murray, about which there is nothing he can do (unless he's making ues). Glad his first serve % is good though. I don't like the fact that this scoreboard doesn't let us know the stats like the others do
Murray broken for Blake to lead the second set 2-0. I'm losing hope
