So Arthur gets a MDWC but Millie doesn't even get a qWC? Seems inconsistent. But pleased for Arthur nonetheless!

Outside of WCs into the wild card playoffs it is the top 10 ranked players which I make it, removing those with WCs already to the main or qualifying draw.

Alastair Gray - Injured?
Aidan Mchugh - Playing in America
Dan Cox
Kyle Edmund - Injured?
Stuart Parker
Charles Broom - still playing in Ilkley this week
Jay Clarke - Injured
Paul Jubb - Injured?
Giles Hussey
Harry Wendelken
Dan Little
Felix Gill
Mark Whitehouse
Blu Baker
Anton Matusevich
---------- Cut off if including Charles and not the injured players or Aidan
Henry Patten - Injured/Doubles only
Jack Pinnington Jones
Josh Goodger
Max Basing
Ben Jones
Patrick Brady

Yep, Los Angeles this week.  Dunno about next, though.

While Clare Balding was talking to Scott Lloyd, the Chief Executive of the LTA, before the start of Cam's match, she actually mentioned Ali & Paul as two of a number of British players currently out injured (along with the likes of Emma & Jack), so somebody had been doing a bit of research.

So the good news is that Charlie Broom has now got a QWC

The list has been updated in the attached. Someone must have been reading our thread!!

Do the wildcard play off fields get determined and announced today?

Does anyone know (and I am guessing Lambda will be the one to come to rescue!!) where or how they will show results etc for these - will there be a tournie link on the LTA site or are we just expected to get there through some onsite journos tweeting ( I seem to recall that when Marcus did well, it was all word of mouth and journalists throwing out occasional updates?!).

It looks like it is 2 days - so round one on day one, then two rounds on day two? And presumably these are best of 3 sets with tie breaks at 6 all or is the 3rd set different??

The draws have to be announced today because matches start tomorrow

https://www.lta.org.uk/495ee1/siteassets/pro-players/lta-wimbledon-wild-card-play-offs-fact-sheet-2023.pdf

The draw is normally on the LTA website and updated at the end of the day, but I don't remember livescores (might be wrong....)

Never get live scores. Reliant on LTA updating their site or one of the privileged few posting on social media

I spectated this event last year, but I'm preparing for a job interview tomorrow so won't spectate this time.  There are rarely any journalists there.  The leaks are probably from spectators like myself.

(Although I suppose you could loosely call anyone a "journo" if they're giving useful public info).  Yes, round 1 on day 1 and 2 rounds on day 2 is the norm.  However, it's possible that this arrangement

could change in the event of heavy rain.  Best of 3 sets with tie breaks at 6 all is correct, just like the vast majority of pro events.  I regret not being able to make it.  I will spectate the M25 at Roehampton

after Wimbledon at compensation -- there should be a similar field.

Thanks Paul - should be an interesting couple of days.

Re the wild card play off, info (draw and order of play) is available here: www.lta.org.uk/fan-zone/wimbledon-championships/news/wild-card-play-offs-2023-preview-draws-and-results/
It's extremely confusing to me because the fact sheet says the event is at Aorangi (as usual) but the above link says that it's at Roehampton.

Good thing I'm not spectating as I wouldn't know where to go! My guess is that it's still at Aorangi.
Anton is not playing so presumably he has a qualifying wild card.

As above, Anton is not playing in the LTA wild card play offs.

I also see that there are actually three wild cards remaining for

Wimbledon qualifying -- 2 via the play-offs and one other one.

So this seems like strong evidence that Anton has a QWC (the

place outside of the play-offs that is currently listed as TBA) but

I haven't seen it officially confirmed.

I have no idea why Anton would have a Wimbledon Q WC.

I very much doubt it. He's not really got the results, well not actually played that much recently, and was on Danish clay last week

There's more often than not at least one TBA in the initial.Q WCs allocations over and above the 2 WC play-off places, often filled by a further play-off competitor.

Yes, I'm absolutely not expecting Anton to get one (although we always love a twist in the tale)

I expected Oli B and Henry to be there. Somewhat surprised to see Jake Fearnley - he's not been playing singles in any other of the events - I don't even think he's played any pro singles matches this year at all (although he's played college tennis, of course)

Did Will Jansen get in on ranking? It went right down to 1050 or so? And Josh Paris at 1120-ish? Obviously yes......

Certainly some intriguing match-ups there....
