Happy Cam won, but this was a terrible level from both players, not even challenger level.

Pouille v Paire would have been good

Wonder if Jack will get the prize money. If he came in with a pre existing injury maybe they will take it off him?

He played last week so I don't see an issue.

Yes. No idea, but the commentators said his previous injury was an abdo thing and this was definitely a left shoulder. So it's not the same.

Pouille is a Q, rather than WC

No idea how I managed to get that wrong.    Corrected in my original post.

Cam apparently in trouble with the umpire again.

He's got a WC into the mixed though.

We've surprisingly got a lot of mixed entrants - Joe is back and seeded 2, Neal seeded 3, Lloyd and Jamie.

Joe and Jamie play each other.

He has a point though - it was a shocking call and definitely changed the course of the match.

Hmm, interesting:  a short while ago, the 23-year-old Brazilian qualifier (& 2018 USO junior champion), Thiago Wild, despatched Medvedev (2) in five sets (7-6(5) 6-7(6) 2-6 6-3 6-4) in 4¼ hours.

Slightly off topic, it would seem that he took a leaf out of Zverev's book a couple of years ago, when, according to Wiki, he "was investigated by Brazilian police for physical and emotional abuse towards ex-girlfriend Thayane Lima for which he received a restraining order."  He subsequently denied the charges & initiated a defamation lawsuit.

Wow hadnt seen Medvedev went out - and after winning Rome as well!

24 of the mens seeds survive so far, and 3 of them yet to play. Round one carnage in womens and mens.

Shame no Brits left to take advantage - cam is going to come across Alcaraz way too early !
