Max Purcell has withdrawn from singles and leaves a LL/Q space to play Bergs.

Not sure if one of the Brits may get this, cant remember challenger LL rules!!

Purcell still seems to be in doubles at the moment at least

If there is 1 LL spot I believe the top two ranked losers get put in a draw for it. If there are more than 1 its a N+1 situation.

So I think it is unlikely a Brit will benefit from it.

ah, of course. Let's hope as many as possible win then!

Dang, re Jay - Saville is a decent fast court player though, but that is still a bit of a pummelling, partic after his opening round win

He actually had a match point in the tenth game of the second set.

It's been a long day SC.  And it's still only mid afternoon.

Point deduction for the mistake. Now 21 required for the top 500.

Sorry Bob I dont make the rules, read the small print.

I'm dreading Billy H vs Harry W in the 1st round proper though.
