Davis Cup Qualifiers 2023 - Colombia vs GB - 3-4 Feb

I play decent club level. One club deliberately uses these balls as the lads that play for them are young and fitter than us.

All I will say is it does notably hurt your forearms, definite risk of injury

Nope no points this season. Dan in a dogfight - hes struggling his second serve, Dan is, to win many points - hes lost more than half his second serve points

Losing to a guy ranked about 250 in the world is pretty poor, no matter what way you cut and dice it....

In DC last year Mejia took Tommy Paul to two tight sets and lost to Korda in 3, so he is obviously a team player. But still, disappointing.

He beat himself in that last game sadly. Clay is bad for him but at that altitude even worse!

You have it there I think. The GB team have not had very long at this altitude, afew days, Dan looked cooked in the 3rd. Looks like it's about strength as much as fitness with this ball and the clay. Thin air will offer less drag, higher ball speed but this ball needs to be hit harder.

The GB DC team has given me some disappointments over the years, If we lose this it would probably top the list.

Altitude is energy sapping - Dan is fit but he just faded. Paraguay did it for years in the 80s and got to DC semis all due to playing at home and at altitude. Lendl and many others came unstuck.

Cam will beat Barrientos and hopefully we will at least be all square. We will probably need to win both singles tomorrow though

Sat watching with my mate who reckoned they should have played Draper. Could have a point there.
