Good match - Mimi v Hannah. Hannah did well to come back in the second set, when Mimi made lots of forehand errors, but Hannah kept getting behind on serve and Mimi's extra power was the deciding factor.
Mimi, Talia, Ranah and Hep make up the last four. Should be cracking matches.
Would Hannah perhaps have the upper hand if they met again next year?

Who knows? You are talking about tennis. Both players are young and hopefully both are learning all the time.
Hep played some very good tennis but then got a little flustered as Talia stayed strong, and consistent, and really squeezed the life out of Hep.
Talia def Hep 4-6 6-2 6-2
On the other hand, Mimi got rather blown off the court in first set, then upped her game, took the second, and third was a real ding-dong battle - nothing really in it - and Mimi won, just
Was very impressed with Talia s groundies in the later stages of the match, striking the ball with great effect and little effort it seemed to me.
Some good stuff from Hep as well. Well played.
Nice to read in The Times (this article not behind a paywall) that a lot of our top players are here this week, cheering on the juniors:
"Almost as fascinating as the match was the attendance of some prominent figures on the balcony above the court. Joe Salisbury, Jack Draper, Kyle Edmund, Katie Swan, Roger Taylor and Leon Smith, plus other notable coaches and agents, were among some of the familiar faces looking back when the young players glanced above"
And the stand-out match from yesterday, everyone seems to agree, was:
"The level of play in one particular girls singles quarter-final on Wednesday was eye-catching. Mingge Xu, a 14-year-old from Swansea, edged out Hannah Klugman, a 13-year-old from Wimbledon, 6-4, 7-5 in an enthralling battle that showcased the ability of both players to use power and variety".
Well, Talia and Mimi didn't win the doubles final, somehow. 7-1 up in the MTB they lost it 11-9 to Given and Millie Skelton, who are national champions as a result.
Well done to them, do we give trophy emojis for domestic events? Either way, I am sure they are pleased!
If anyone missed the action or wants to rewatch any of the action, all the streams are available on the LTA youtube channel. I'll be catching up tonight on the Mimi Hannah match from yesterday.
Lovely to have commentary - including Eva Shaw - for the U18 National Championship finals
Being played outside.
Mimi is FAR the better player - it's all been on her racket so far - the forehand doing real damage and moving onto the ball, taking it in front of her, making Talia scamper - serve not quite on song - but the groundies are killing Talia - making Talia look truly second rate ...
5-1*
No huge surprise - she is SUCH a talent for her age
Mind you, Talia lost the first set yesterday too - rather different sort of set, though
