Another amazing match in the mens semis as Alfie and Gordon win 7-6 (7) in the final set on an MTB. Another 3 hours. Alfie has played 6 hours today.

The entertainment has been fabulous and the quality very impressive- and all on court one as well.

Well done Alfie and Gordon and they, Alfie in singles and Andy all play in finals over the weekend.

It does seem strange - the girls singles is on court one and a knockabout vets match, theres ample room for the mens doubles or womens singles final in wheelchair

Winners of singles get £51k. De Groot has won past 9 slams . At that rate
Plus other events she must earn a good few hundred k a year. Not all earn that but thats ok , Id say.

Alfie and Gordon on the brink of losing the doubles final.

Sadly no fight back today.

Onto the singles for Alfie tomorrow.

I imagine Alfie was cooked. Hopefully can regroup for tomorrow!

Alfies final is also on court 3 - which is disappointing and seems a backward step after they played his semi on court one.

Riveting final.
Sadly Alfie lost in a 3rd set MTB. He actually served for it 4 times.
Well done to Kunieda!
Both players incredible

Saw some of the match today at Wimbledon - stunning, skillful, tough tennis in the heat of the day. Tough for the both, but especially Alfie cry

The series 1 British Open takes place from tomorrow in Nottingham

Looks like 12 player fields in each event with Gordon mens top seed .
