8. Paul  272
9. Ryan P  290
10. Billy  326

Sub. Alastair G  330

Please can I sub in Alastair G for Ryan P.

Hopefully Kyle's comeback could yet get some points though a big ask to earn much. Whatever, Ryan P has done so well he stood to hardly score for me and Ali is likely to score much better subbing into the #9 position rather than the #3 position.

OK. Here goes for my annual humiliation.

Cam Norrie 31
Dan Evans 52
Andy Murray 78
Liam Broady 98
Paul Jubb 243
Jay Clarke 275
Kyle Edmund 305
Ryan Penniston 310
Anton Matusevich 385
Ali Gray 402

Reserve Jack Draper 423

Something tells me that swapping in my reserve isn't going to help me very much biggrinbiggrin

Dan - 28
Cam - 30
Andy - 45
Liam - 100
Jack D - 140
Ryan P - 260
Paul Jubb - 280
Anton - 330
Jay - 340
Jack PJ - 400

Res: Kyle - 100

------------------------------------

So when you sub them in, you put them at the numbered place of the person they go in for, BUT at the actual ranking of the original reserve prediction?

OK, so - please - I'd like to sub in Kyle (100) for Anton (330) - and then, if I understand right, I've got Kyle as GB number 8 but with a ranking of 100.....

There are quite a few things that could go pear-shaped with that, Anton has very little to defend in autumn, and but I'll go for it.....

Yes CD, I think you've got it ( or else I haven't ).

I can certainly see the argument that, while a returning Kyle may not get close to your original WR 100 prediction, he could end up much closer to GB #8 than Anton and so earn you some GB points.

Yes - tricky -

As you say, Kyle has precious little chance of getting to 100, but number 8 seems a reasonable shout.

The question for me was more Anton - he has little to defend and seems to be playing pretty OK - definitely upside -

BUT I assume that his uni course starts again in September and so he'll be less on the circuit than at the moment ....

SuperT's sub of Kyle for Anton is better (mainly due to better predictions in the first place, really, but looks like more legs)

Mind you, I love your argument for getting rid of Ryan altogether, though - quite cunning, I thought

Ha ha, yes let's sub in a much lower ranked player.

Counter intuitive but looking at the figs I actually then thought it was a no-brainer. Ryan's not going to fall back near my predictions. Very little to lose and potentially a quite nice gain.

Love these discussions !

I'm closing the list at 10pm on Friday night so I can rework the tables over the weekend before the next rankings come out.
