If we can have 3-4 make the main draw @ Wimbledon next year, I hope that we can take a chance on a couple of our juniors next summer with some MD WCs, all of the other slams do - and the pressure would be off if we had people like KB/ER/JB taking the focus

Yes. And the big thing with our junior girls, by that time there may be one or two that will not be totally out of place.

Hannah has now made the final of the J300 in Canada

That's 210 points (minimum) which will be her biggest counter to date and will replace a 90-er

Great week so far.....

Presumably she'll get additional doubles points too?

Yes. I make it that, at the moment, she'll get 157 points (for RU place)

Which will replace a 110, i.e. 47 new points, which are divided by 4, hence 12 new points.

If she wins, it's 225 points (minus 110, divided by 4)

So, for those with endless patience nowink, the doubles title should give Hannah about 28 new points smile

110? Replaces a 105 does it not?

Yep, you're right

Makes precious little difference, of course, well, about 1 point, I guess, but every point welcome

It was nearly exactly 2 years ago that I started this thread, when Hannah was still a slip of a thing, but with huge potential....

And now here she is, age 14, in the Quarter-finals of the US Open (and counting.....)

Going by my rough calculations should be up to about the top 15 in the JWRs as well.

Hannah in her interview gave a shout-out to her coaches. And I always like coaches to have their moment

Firstly, Ben Haran - head coach at Reeds - he's been Hannah's main coach since she was 9 years-old and is going a fantastic job !

Also, Laura Deigman who is Hannah's fitness coach - well done to her too

When was the last time we had a 14 year old Junior no.1?
