The next 2009 girl in the U-18s is 282 places below her, impressive. Hope the strapping under her knees is just a precaution; I don't think juniors should play much on hard courts unless the cushioned variety.
I was just looking at various players World Tennis Number stats. Hannah's are impressive. Since July 2017 she's played 390 singles matches winning 87% (340) of them. In comparison most of our other top juniors have a winning percentage of 65% to 70%.
From Lamda's rankings page, the huge news for Hannah today is that::
"Hannah Klugman gained a WTA ranking for the first time at WR1095. She is not only the youngest person with a WTA ranking, but the only 14 year old to have a WTA ranking - the next youngest is Julia Stusek who turned 15 on 30 June".
If we can have 3-4 make the main draw @ Wimbledon next year, I hope that we can take a chance on a couple of our juniors next summer with some MD WCs, all of the other slams do - and the pressure would be off if we had people like KB/ER/JB taking the focus
