Yes calf tear hasn't healed or didn't heal quickly enough for her to train adequately

Unsurprisingly yes she is injured - Halep isn't one of the players who is injured alot or withdraws alot. She is also the defending champion.

Heather gets a qualifier too, but Kvitova/Stephens in the second round

As does Heather face a qualifier, but her second round is Kvitova/Stephens. So I can't see her getting to the second week unfortunately. Same with Katie who would play Sabalenka.

Real shame for Harriet getting Mertens, can't see a win there and she's defending third round points.

Jodie against Davis is winnable, but Jodie needs to sort her head out.

I think we've a chance for a few wins but I can't see anyone lasting until the weekend. Jo could beat Barty if she really finds some of her old magic but I can also see her going out in round 1!

Qualifiers are tricky, there are plenty of 60-105 players you'd probably pick ahead of someone 150 who's come through 3 rounds on grass. But can't really complain about how they've landed. All have a shot.

No indication that the BBC are covering Katie's match in a minute.

It is raining on the south coast - not sure what it is doing at Wimbledon, but they normally get our weather an hour later, so not good news.
