Just to check, EP, (and sorry if you've said so already above) but is this singles event the same one that Paul Jubb won?
Yes - wouldnt it be great if another Brit could manage this? if an American wins they get a WC into US open qualies. If its an international no WC, however Paul received a WC into Wimbledon
Have no recollection of James Davis (is he the big brother of Fran, maybe?)
And I think Jo Monday barely played juniors - and comes from pretty close to where Paul Jubb comes from, no?
Tall guy, lefty, I seem to remember, and young - all good !
Hamish still stands in the memory as one of my favourite matches of all time - beating Moutet at the All England Club - just brilliant - and a lot to like with his game
And our own Frenchie Arthur, of course, is a more known quantity to everyone now, but always been on my list.
If I was a betting person, Jo Munday (Sophomore) or Hamish Stewart (grad student) would be be my favourites out of the Brits.
Jo did play a number of Brit Tours and a few UK ITFs. Yes, very tall; my son played him at a Brit Tour on a hard court and said he had a big first serve. Hopefully fully fit, but as a sophomore, may need another year or so to develop his game???Currently plays #2 singles at Tennessee, but May move to #1 next year as grad student Adam Walton will have left. Jo from Hull area as is Paul, so maybe something in the water?
Grad student James Davies must have got in due to the Conference bit of the selections as hes not highly ranked. Freshman year at Oklahoma where played #6 and transferred to Denver Sophomore year. Really only come across him at County Cup where he and dubs partner Matt Summers are allegedly supremely confident..
For what they are worth, link to current mens rankings https://www.wearecollegetennis.com/2022/05/04/di-mens-rankings-for-may-4/
Good to see Jacob Fearnley, Finn Bass, Fin Murgett and Tad Maclean, and Lui Maxted all in doubles top 10 - didnt FIn Murgett and Tad Maclean win this or a big event last year that go them some publicity on this forum?
Also, hadn't Arthur Fery reached top spot a month or 2 back? I seem to recall some fanfare over it - but he seems to have dropped back to 12 now; are the rankings quite temperamental or has his form fallen away?
Spotted Erin Richardson in the ladies singles and Holly Staff (Vandebilt) and Amelia Rejecki (NC State)in the dubs - probs missed some others, but less familiar with the women.

In the mens, Hamish and Jo through in three sets. watched a bit of both matches (still trying to workout if I can stream RG free any where?) Hamish was playing one of those whos coach kept wandering onto the court for a chat between points. Personally I would find it irritating, perhaps college players just used to it and not bothered?
Video. - no need to sign up to tennis one app. Go to NCAA tournament, stream and then click on court you want to view, opens as a new window, if get black scree, scroll up and you can turn sound on
