To be fair Ferrer played some excellent points at the end of the tie-break, really fighting for everything and making his shots.

Massive momentum change, hope Andy can pick himself up as he can still win this, but needs to play every point (and every serve) at 100% concentration.

Hopefully he can start the set well.

NB : Not a single ace from either of them.....not good enough you need some cheap pts on serve and the odd ace is the best way to do it !!!

It is a slow surface though, unless you're a massive server like Safin or Roddick you don't usually get many aces - even Roddick's ace count is usually only something like 5 for the match.

AM: forehand down the line net 0-15, backhand down the line pass set up with drop shot 15-15, forehand long 30-15, forehand cross court net 40-15, unreturnable 1-0


 


Well you know Andy always looks like he'd rather be in bed, and he's breathing hard after a few of the longer points, but nothing strange they are both working hard. He is lookig fine at the moment

Good stuff.

Fitness wise, no signs of problems at the moment (fingers crossed).

Ferrer actually looks more tired (but maybe that's just the sweaty long hair!)

Andy easily wins a game whilst only getting 1 first serve in. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Ferrer hasn't got a great returning game


By the way, for anyone interested we had the most people online at once ever about 20minutes ago. Well done David/Peter for creating such a great board!

Ferrer holds on for 1-1

Ferrer has 0-40 on the Murray serve, I get the feeling we're in for another rollercoaster ride in this set

AM: forehand down the line winner 0-15, backhand slice into the net from inventive net play by both 0-30, backhand long 0-40 break point no.1 DF, forehand cross court wide after reaching a drop shot 15-40 break point no.2, serve and volley but volleys wide Ferrer breaks 2-1


 


At the sit down Andy takes his hat off and tries to lose his fingers in his hair - not difficult. C'mon Andy!
