They should have all been quarantined when paire was found positive, doing it this way is making it up as they go. It deprived another pair of a place in the draw, or this round and is massively confused thinking.

Private jet was refused. 

Training as a group, in their bubble, refused. 

And all because their hotel is in Nassau County and the USTA - NY City agreement doesn't apply - someone didn't think to check that.....

But, despite all Kiki's blinkin' am-dram (you'd think the woman was being made to drink salt water), nice to see that some aren't quite so vitriolic about measures to save people's lives:

No more Konta unfortunately, but still a great OOP on paper for the women today, and the matches have been spread out a lot better than most of the week where the bulk of the matches seem to be scheduled early and over within a few hours of play - there's only one match at 4pm (11am) today (Anisimova vs Sakkari).

Which women's match are people most looking forward to today? Stephens has been really poor for well over a year, and she has had a very generous passage through thus far, and will probably be out of her depth a little later, but I'm still looking forward to Serena vs Stephens, and it'll be on around 7.30/8pm )UK time) which is another bonus.

 Obviously moved on to the next round now. There are some great prospective matches. Hard to see past Willaims as a potential winner though.

I'm very intrugued by today's match of Brady V Kerber. Brady looks very good right now but playing Kerber is a bit like playing against a brick wall.

Osaka angainst Kontaveit could be good and possibly Sakkari v Williams, if Sakkari can maintain a decent level throughout.

 

Story of the open has to be Pironkova. Three years out of the game she's a model lesson to our women in professionalism and dedication. She's come back fit and toned something one or two of our ladies could take as an example.

That's the L16 match I'm most interested in, but it follows a men's match on Ashe starting at 12am, which is 50/50 and could go on a long time, so it probably won't start until 3.30/4am here. I stayed up until after 3am yesterday to watch Kenin-Jabuer, but circa 1.30am is the last point in which I'd watch a (women's) match live. Fortunately WFH I'll be able to watch it in the morning, without spoilers, before work, but I'd prefer to watch it live.

 

Brady is looking so good. Hope that strapping she had to get on today is just precautionary though.
