There is play on some outside courts now - live scores showing for courts 5,6,7 and 11. And Andy has started his match on Ashe, whilst the women's match on Armstrong could be near a finish.
I'm guessing it was re reaching R3 for the first time in 7 attempts. It seems quite recent that Kyle was reaching the SF of the Aus Open, let alone a R3, and I did wonder momentarily. But yes, it refers to his last 7 attempts starting from the US Open later on in 2018.
Saying "last seven attempts" would have better focussed on it being particularly a recent Slam issue while having gone further previously. A casual observer might take it that Kyle had never reached a Slam R3.
And don't forget Roland-Garros in 2017.
Oh , sorry folks !! I read it as completely ignoring he had reached a semi-final and was implying he had only every reached a 3rd round. I always see Kyle as a 'former semi finalist' (at AOT), not someone who only reached R3 once, in all slams.

Indeed Kyle reached at least R3 in 6 of his 8 Slams immediately prior to these latest 7, and 6 out of his total 21 MDs including this one - that 2018 Aus Open SF, 2016 US Open R4, and four other R3s including yes 2017 RG.
While the article is factually correct ( though possibly misleading ), and Kyle's recent Slam record is not great, I am sure you were not alone JC in saying - wait a minute.
Andy hasn't come back from 2 sets down to take it to a 5th set in a Slam since well his last Slam match - that tremendous effort vs Bautista Agut in the Aus Open 2019.

Let's hope for a better final outcome!
Incidentally the score against RBA was 4-6 4-6 7-6(5) 7-6(4) 2-6
So great to see Andy break back in the final set here for 4-6 4-6 7-6(5) 7-6(4) *3-3
