Not sure how he did this:

L128:  Cameron Norrie WR 76 defeated (9) Diego Schwartzman (ARG) WR 13 by 3-6 4-6 6-2 6-1 7-5  ban-woohoo.gif

Cam served 11 aces & five double faults to the Argentine's one & eight...

*****

L64:  Cameron Norrie WR 76 vs Federico Coria (ARG) WR 103 (= CH)

To complete the story so far of the top half of the draw:

L128:  Kyle Edmund WR 44 defeated Alexander Bublik (KAZ) WR 54 by 2-6 7-5 7-5 6-0

So pleased finally to see that result after going to bed at the end of the first set & spending the entire morning sorting out the agenda & background papers for a meeting on Friday morning - even though it's supposed to be a day off!

*****

L64:  (1) Novak Djokovic (SRB) WR 1 vs Kyle Edmund WR 44

NoDjo leads the head-to-head by 5-1, Kyle's only win coming in the last 32 of the Madrid Masters on clay in 2018 (6-3 2-6 6-3).  The pair last met in the Paris Masters last year, when Djokovic won in straight sets (7-6(7) 6-1).  There is no head-to-head for Cam & Coria.

L128:  Andy Murray WR 115 defeated Yoshihito Nishioka (JPN) WR 49 by 4-6 4-6 7-6(5) 7-6(4) 6-4  in four hours & 40 minutes

L64:  (15) Félix Auger-Aliassime (CAN) WR 21 (CH = 17 last October) vs Andy Murray WR 115

(15) Auger-Aliassime takes a mere 3 hours 51 minutes to beat Monteiro in 4 sets. So it's Andy vs FAA in R2.

... as said.

Montero had SP on serve at *6-5 in the 4th set breaker as well.  Had he taken that, they might have taken longer than Andy to finish their match.

Evo's 3rd set is much more competitive. Having won the first 2 sets dropping only 3 games, he is now into a TB in the 3rd.

Yes.  Because I need to clock off for the night.  Don't want this dragging on into a 4th set.

According to the Beeb, it's the first time at the USO since 1974.

I was just about to say that!

Seriously though, it looks like last one as Battrick, Taylor, Cox and Lloyd made round 2. Only Mark Cox went onto win a 2nd match sadly.
