It's incredible they got it to come down to the decider.
Makes me sad to say it, but whilst I have no problems with Jo not competing this weekend, I think not even making the effort to come to support in the sidelines for these last two matches reflects badly on her. It's not a big ask.

Yes, I agree.
Eden was there, and she's had a nightmare, really.
And Emma's turned up. And Cam, though injured.
As you say, unless you were on a plane somewhere, why wouldn't you come????? Would rather watch the Antique Roadshow???

Huge success for the tournament as a whole. I wasn't really into it at the start of the week but it grew on me each day. Jamie's team may have lost, but huge congratulations to him on putting the whole show together. I am sure he had a lot of help too so well done all of them.
I loved it as an event. I suspect it will be hard to recreate it in normal times when it's so long, but perhaps most of the top Brits could find a Friday to Sunday at some point each year to do this?

Bulldogs win having been in the lead for the whole time. People having a go at Jo for not being there to support the team in the last 2 days. But there could be perfectly valid reasons why. Strangely enough I felt Jo's presence was not relevant to the event. i.e. the result might have been the same if she had not played any matches at all. It wasn't like the Fed Cup. At least the likes of Jodie, Harriet and Emma got our full attention and the watching public hopefully and Jo was not stealing attention off them.
That explains why she wasn't playing, not why he couldn't make the effort to come to the NTC at dinner time to be courtside for a couple of hours?
I mean it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, I just think it's a shame really, given how much of a team spirit there was throughout the week to miss the last bit.

"With the upcoming schedule and the amount of potential matches, my team and I wanted to manage my time on the match court."
I share your confusion, Bob. Meaningless explanation, if you ask me - not that anybody would!
Loved her cardboard cut out at the presentation-says it all! Apparently she was not a good team member all week-insisted on playing only those she chose to play against!
Who knows? But I really enjoyed the whole week, especially seeing some of the less-well-known players.
Huge congrats to Jamie and his helpers for putting this on, and to the players for giving it their all

Oh I missed the presentation - hoping it will be on iPlayer.
