Didn't realise Beecher was Kyle's coach. I set next to him all through Marni Banks win at Sunderland W25 at the end of February. The commentator jokingly mentioned tensions between Kyle and his coach when Liverpool were to play Palace the other day, and i knew this bloke was a Palace fan, but didn't put 2 and 2 together. He never mentioned Kyle at the time, unless this is just a new partnership?

I do quite like the mid match chats with the players for TV purposes.

Beechy has been back working with Kyle for about a year now, although Kyle is also working with Franco Davin.

When I first started following Kyle and watching him working his way up through the futures, Beechy was coaching him back then.  They always had a great rapport.  I know that one season, back then, Kyle's target for the year was to better Beechy's CH ranking, which was around the 260 mark.

I am glad to see them back working together. It just has the right feel to it, as does Mark Hilton working with Dan Evans.

Talking of coaches, I hadnt realised until yesterday that Dani Vallverdu is coaching Karolina Pliskova as well as also working with Stan Wawrinka currently.

With Andy, Berdych, Dimitrov, Del Potro all working with Dani, and all getting decent success with him if you look at where he left them and joined them, Dani does seem to have become one of the most respected coaches, good players want to work with him.

The standard of tennis has been great, mouth watering semi's to come. Evo v AM? Have they ever played each other?

Extremely surprisingly, apparently not. Not officially anyway, as I guess will remain the case.

I understand that the events are raising money for the NHS (£100k was mentioned) but does anyone know if the players receive prizemoney and what it is?

Presumably Schroders putting their name and not inconsiderable revenues behind this will be paying something to the players taking part?

At 30 and 33years, you'd have thought they would have. What a treat in store.

Murray grateful for a day off before this test. I think it's still 50/50 but I'll be rooting for Dan.

Dan not having it all his own way against Ryan - won first, but Ryan is 5-2 up in 2nd with one break. MTB could be looming. Good effort from Ryan. He has a neat game, shame he doesnt seem to have any real weapon, just consistent and seems strong mentally.
