Australia win the doubles and hence the tie ...

3-6 6-3 [18-16]

5 MPs in the MTB to AUS, 4 to GB. Each missed one on serve, the GB one being at *16-15 !

Oh so close ! Darn!

But a fantastic result for Dan, moves him to live 31 and only a chance of Lajovic overtaking him, so an AO seeding secured and a new career high.

Nick K also moves onto 4 wins from the event with 2 today, looking good and , as I like nick, bodes well for Melbourne for him.

Cam looks really out of sorts and needs to step up for Melbourne, Jamie and Joe did ok over the week but as they arent partners on tour it has little bearing.

Terrible behaviour. Anywhere else I'm sure that would've ended in a default.

Zverev wasnt much better!

And cuevas had a meltdown where he walked off court only to have basilasvili persuade him to return and carry on

Making nick k look like the good guy.

 Absolutely.

My Greek friends tell me that the dad wasn't even cross, all he kept saying was "think like a winner, this isn't being a winner, if you think like a winner, you'll be a winner" and other blah-blah along those lines.

It was his mother who came over and let rip (good on mothers!)

But the Greeks are obsessed with how strict his parents are (maybe just his mother???)

How he's not allowed to drink, hasn't been allowed a girlfriend (until last year), not allowed to go out.....

Certain reckon there will be a backlash at some point (although most point out that it's simply Greek families for you, you can't sneeze without 100 phone calls, including every third cousin, and 50 from your parents, asking you about your cold)

Sounds like a scene from a woody Allen film !

I'm trying to call, was Sampras of greek heritage? Not sure I his parents where heavily involved or not? Kyrgios clearly is Greek heritage, again does he have family involved in his career?
