Oh my goodness . I dropped out from watching about 2.30 am . Thanks for the updates. Sad result but at least Dan can get a few days rest. I think  towards end of first set he said he was hurting to which Tim H replied youve only been on court 40 mins !!!

Fabulous win for Evo!
Such a shame about the doubles - oh so very close. MTBs should be outlawed.

Making nick k look like the good guy.

Something has been going on with Zverev for a while now. I know there was a management issue and then his dad (also coaches him) was ill. Perhaps exhos with Federer in the off season wasn't the best idea (but maybe not much choice since I think he is  me under Federer's management company)

It does seem the ATP Cup organisers are making the same problem as the Davis Cup, with late, late finishes. Arg and Rus are playing a dead doubles rubber, presumably as there are ATP points to be had, and it is first set still at 1215 am local time. I guess this will finish at 1 am or later, and there have been several such finishes. Presumably just die hard fans left watching...

I think this needs to be sorted for next season in both events, as clearly it doesnt do anyone favours - fans live or on TV have to very committed to watch a match at that time, players wont sleep for a few hours after it is finished, and journos clearly end up struggling with filing reports and again, being tired...not good

1.30am finish tonight. Yuk.

In terms of the winners list -

Covering BOTH singles and doubles, here are the players with the most wins:

5 wins - Khachanov, Medvedev

4 wins - Djokovic, Kyrgios, Nadal, Shapovalov

3 wins - Auger-Aliassime, Bautista-Agut, Carreno-Busta, Dimitrov, Dan Evans, Fognini, Guccione, Hurkacz, Peers, Ruud

2 wins today/overnight for Nick K brings him into the list, Djoko , Nadal, and Shapo all a match behind so can add to their wins tallies tomorrow, possibly 2 wins for each of them.

The Guardian has game by game reporting on the three matches. Having been asleep during the matches I found it informative.

Does anyone have info/link that explains how the prize money is distributed?

Full breakdown here - scroll down quite a way until you come to it. It's complicated !

www.atptour.com/en/news/atp-cup-faqs

By my reckoning Dan will have earnt over $200k for his week's work.

(3 individual wins, two team wins and a participation fee)

I think he will have earnt a pretty decent sum above that:

2 team wins $19,700 ($9850 per win)

2 group indiv wins $78,800 ($39400 per win)

QF win individual $78,350

participation fee $150,000 (we came 17th in the listing, presumably Andy didnt get this as he withdrew and Dan did instead). If not then Dan gets $60k only as our #2 at time of entry

But assuming he got the top participation fee then $326,850 would be his tidy earning from the week - if he got the $60k fee then $236k instead. Hope it was the larger sum and even if it was, I hope Andy would have given that up to him?

Yes, I made it £236k at first look - based on the lower participation fee. But I wasn't certain which figure he would qualify for without looking up the entry listing !

I think Andy was #1 at the time of entry, but not sure whether he would still get the $150k participation fee given he eventually pulled out. It would seem unfair if he did. Not sure it works, not sure if any of the journos read this forum , like Mick Dickson or someone, Stuart Fraser, George Bellshaw, perhaps they might be able to tweet a view on it?

I'm still not sold on the ATP Cup for a variety of reasons, but it was very exciting this morning. I woke up around 6.15 to catch a bit WTA before work, but saw the doubles was on going, so I checked the Evo result to see if the tie was still live, and it was 2-4 in the MTB, so watched it yo it's conclusion a d you just couldn't tell which way it was going to go.

Just watched Dan's game back. Just fantastic skill from both but what a great match and so proud of Dan. He has certainly turned a corner in his career.

The dubs, we'll should have won.

Question: Jamie+Neal > Jamie+Joe ?

I've just watched the end of Dan's match - very impressive form, hopefully he can continue for the next few weeks.
Going to watch the end of the doubles shortly.

As for the question Jamie+Neal > Jamie +Joe. Difficult to tell after just a handful of matches, and needs more time to develop a partnership.
It appears a scratch partnership of two good singles players is as good as a scratch partnership of two good doubles players !!
