I've just watched the end of Dan's match - very impressive form, hopefully he can continue for the next few weeks.
Going to watch the end of the doubles shortly.

As for the question Jamie+Neal > Jamie +Joe. Difficult to tell after just a handful of matches, and needs more time to develop a partnership.
It appears a scratch partnership of two good singles players is as good as a scratch partnership of two good doubles players !!

Just doing the same (watching dubs) and of course gutted about that result but I just have to see it back after missing it live. So pleased for Evo. He produced a fab BH pass on the line, an incredible lob and superb volleys in that final TB. Just seemed to be in charge despite that partizan Aussie crowd and intense pressure from an extremely talented opponent.

Just hope I can say something nice about dubs in an hour. Sounds so close as well.

Full breakdown here - scroll down quite a way until you come to it. It's complicated !

www.atptour.com/en/news/atp-cup-faqs

By my reckoning Dan will have earnt over $200k for his week's work.

(3 individual wins, two team wins and a participation fee)

You don't need to calculate the amount or points. Its listed in the results file

http://www.protennislive.com/posting/2020/8888/mds.pdf

Dan is listed as winning $236,850

Thanks Bruce, out of interest, where do you get that from?

Contrary to atp own faqs , the pdf attached shows dan has 200 ranking points. Not 215 that atp site suggests as per the dan thread. This all seems rather inconsistent and confusing.

??!

If you check Dan's player thread it explains it. Wiki points are wrong l, he got 50 points for beating Albot, check the ATP site

Whatever the true number of ranking points, it is Dan's biggest ever  points haul and I'm pretty sure his biggest ever pay cheque as well.

Lets hope he can maintain his level of form.

Hi emmsie,  I know I've contributed. I know I'm making a song and dance, and it doesn't really matter, the issue is that atp on their pro tennis site as per above say 200 points, in their faqs it is 215. So they differ in two places. And the rankingsites have it one way and the other as well.

Main issue is atp contradict themselves.

I know I sound and come across like a prat and a bit of a thick idiot but there we are. !

1) I started at www.atptour.com
2) from the menu at the top left I selected Tournaments/Calander
3) I selected ATP Cup
4) from the menu bar near the top of the page I selected Draws
5) I then selected Download PDF

That win against Minaur under so much pressure must go down as one of Dan's best wins, does anyone know who the highest ranked player he has beaten is?

Not certain if it is still his best win, but he beat Cilic WR7 in the AO in 2017

According to wiki, his top 10 wins are: sorry for the formatting. They have Thiem as top but he was ranked 8th at the time apparently, Cilic 7 and Isner 9. Goffin was 11 this week in Sydney and De Minaur 18th I think? Suspect it is his first week with 2 top 20 players beaten?

Coffin just beat Nadal. 1-1 in that match.

As we know in tennis, it is therefore obvious that Dan would beat Nadal comfortably given their respective results against Goffin smile

Seriously, a turn up for the books, Deciding doubles now!

Coffin is a good name to use when he should be winning but isn't. Looks like Godfin came out to play Nadal (which is what I've seen used when Goffin is playing well)
