British Tour - 2020

I'm in Surrey and its a odd day, the wind is all over the place, maybe that played a part in the 1st set and then she adjusted in the 2nd set. Stuck with it though and reaped the reward.

As you say Pete, not quite sure how she managed that.

But it certainly was a convincing MTB

And love the fact that the very rude Mateusz Szaj. youtube chat poster went suddenly very quiet ....

Mind you, even as a mega Jodie fan, I've often said that I think she really could do with a stint at a Spanish academy....

But 6 p richer (yeah!!!!) and AV gets their dream final

 smile indeed.

10am start for that one tomorrow

Basically winners play through to semis and a 3-4 play off, losers play to 5-8 positions. That makes 12 matches, not sure where 13 would come from though!

Yes agreed should be 12 not 13. 'East' draw is conventional 8 pair ko draw plus a 3rd place so 8 matches in total. 'West' draw is a 4 pair for 1st round losers so 3 matches plus a 7th/8th play off. Event will be helped by fact that neither of the singles finalists entered the doubles.

NB The addict (sorry, not AV) has copied and pasted this faithfully from the LTA website.

But how many spelling mistakes can people pick out?

I've got four, and there may well be more - which I think is pretty disgraceful - can't the LTA even spell the names of their own players ?!?!?!

My mistake, there are 12 matches scheduled on the order of play, miscounted twice !

And the info I posted was copied from the LTA

Emma-Jodie underway, with an early hold for Emma.

1-0*.

And based on yesterday's performances, you'd expect Emma to win this quite easily.

Not that Emma was stellar (particularly in the first set) but Jodie looked in real problem with the wind and rather flat

Add: which probably means Jodie will nail it smile

They're having a shocker with getting the right score in the scoreboard.

The sun going down helps the view.
