Indeed

Well, they certainly should read this and other tennis forums.

Pretty close first set in terms of score, and not brilliant tennis but it's very windy out there, but Emma was always in the lead, and always in control....

Soumeya Anane & Tiffany William vs Beth Gray & Eden Silva [2]
Annabel Davis & Sally Pethybridge vs Emily Appelton &Yuriko Miyazaki

There are 13 matches scheduled for the doubles in total - Fast4 format - and if someone would care to explain how the draw works, I'd be grateful  hmm

NB The addict (sorry, not AV) has copied and pasted this faithfully from the LTA website.

But how many spelling mistakes can people pick out?

I've got four, and there may well be more - which I think is pretty disgraceful - can't the LTA even spell the names of their own players ?!?!?!

Out of interest what are the other errors above (not in revised link) apart from the Banks/Bissett pairing?

I enjoyed watching this week. Just good to see British players back on the court, and making a bit of money. A few surprise results, a few good performances, and a final featuring two players who will hopefully become more prominent on the wider women's scene in the coming years.

Next week not as strong with it just being a Tier 1, and probably more crucially, clashing with that UK Pro Series event, but still a few interesting players involved:

1. Murray-Sharan
2. Lily
3. Lumsden
4. Gillan
5. Arbuthnott
6. Popescu
7. William
8. Piper
9. Rajecki
10. Staff
11. Rawson
12. Nicholls
13. Er Richardson
14. Dawson
+ 2 WCs (which I assume haven't been announced yet).

The men's being the Premier event this week means they start on Thursday, with the women on Friday, so likely another double up day on the Saturday (like the men had this week).

Seems like it's Emily App and Lily vs Sam and Naomi in the doubles final at 3.30pm. I might give that a watch.

I've missed everthing today, just been catching up. The LTA website has all the doubles results apart from the final and the 3/4 play-off.

Ah, great to see Marni with a WC after her strong showing last week. She could well be favourite for the title, although Sam will no doubt be hoping to show that last week was a one off.
