Well, early jump for Jack, up 3-1. Should be an interesting match !

Interesting match. Dan is obviously more of a contender if we want another Brit picking up this title, but (no matter how Dan may or may not be approaching it), if Jack could get the win, you could make a case for him getting a MDWC at Wimbledon. Jack serving for the first set *5-3 and just had to save a BP.

Jack has had 3 SPs, 2 at 5-2 40-15* and another at 5-3 *40-30, but it's back on serve.

5-5, another SP came and went for Jack in that game, would be a shame if he didn't take this first set.

First 7 games only one of them went to 30, but the last 3 have been a lot longer.

Dan takes a break to go up 6-5. Experience coming through, and Dan getting his feet after perhaps starting slowly?

10 points in a row for Dan to take the set 7-5.

Sadly this has fallen away from Jack after a promising start, should show him what is needed to make the step to this level though

I hope what ever injury Jack was nursing earlier this year is not re-emerging from his exertions here.

Jack fought back a little at end, but Dan always had it in bag, and wins through

Did anyone watch this? Would love to know how young Jack compared to a resurgent Dan.

The weather is very nice again up in Edinburgh after several days of rain. Hopefully they can play outdoors today. Must be costing a fortune to be indoors and not make any money.

According to BBC weather, there's a 90% chance of rain at 10am but down to 36% at 3pm. Maybe they're hoping for some outdoor play later on.
