A brief report on the final by the ATP. Dan's the first Brit to win a Challenger singles title on home soil since he himself won his very first in Jersey ten years ago!

Fabulous clip in there of Dan, head first and a somersault and winning the point.

Though as Dan said post-SF, "Jersey's not really at home, is it?"

Surbiton Challenger SF: A twist in the tale - Dan tells us after the match that when he slipped and sat down, he was going to retire, then Copil started telling the crowd he was being a drama queen so he decided to carry on and beat him instead! Oops ...

That'll teach Copil!
When I listened back later, I realised Dan had followed this up with the line "so he lost the match by opening his mouth".
Dan, of course, would never chunter/banter from the back of the court
It was clear that what really got Dan's back up was the implication that he was taking a tactical MTO - he said afterwards that he never does stuff like that and thinking back, whatever other faults he may have, I'm pretty sure that's not one of them!
