With the grass season about to start in two weeks time, I felt it might be good to repeat last years bit of fun where we predicted which male or female player would win the most MAIN DRAW singles matches during the grass court events. I am including all events, ATP Tour/WTA Tour/ATP Challenger/ITF Womens events on grass over that time . Note I am not including Newport RI, it is just up to Wimbledon

I have posted it early , 2 weeks ahead of grass starting to allow folks to make an opinion and to close the poll as the grass season actually starts - plus I go on holiday next weekend and so wanted to do it now. I will update standings regularly once Surbiton starts and also track the doubles standings, although I wont do a poll for that.

Week 23 - Surbiton Trophy - Challenger men and ITF women

Week 24 - WTA Nottingham Open and WTA s'Hertogenbosch 

Week 24 - ATP Stuttgart and ATP 's-Hertogenbosch;

Week 24 - ATP Nottingham Trophy Challenger 

Week 24 - Manchester - ITF Women

Week 25 - WTA Birmingham and WTA Mallorca

Week 25 - ATP Queen's Club and ATP Halle

Week 25 - Ilkley - ATP Challenger men and ITF women

Week 26 - WTA Eastbourne

Week 26 - ATP Eastbourne and ATP Antalya

Week 27/28 - Wimbledon - men and women

So in total there are 10 mens events and 9 womens events. Of these, though, 4 mens events are outside the UK and 2 womens. Most GB players if not all will play only events on home soil and  therefore the overseas events are most likely to not provide any main draw wins in singles.

The poll is to predict which mens OR womens (1 player) will win the most main draw matches over the course of these events. Remember some of the events are ATP or WTA full tour and quite high level events, so it maybe you think someone will shine at that level and take advantage of a wild card or two. One event is a grand slam of course. But of course several events are at ITF or Challenger level and thus might be easier for some of our ladies and men to take advantage. And will Andy be back??!

To be realistic I have listed our top nine men and top nine ladies. Some of you may think someone outside the top nine will come good but lets face it , it is highly unlikely that will happen at main draw level, but I have included an AN Other Male and female. Naomi Broady of course it outside the top 10 just now, so she might be an example of someone who comes good. 

Couple of rules - if someone receives a bye, that doesn't count as a win; however, if someone gets a walkover, then for the purposes of this it will count as a win. As I understand it, that is how the ATP and WTA accumulate someones win/loss record on the tours, walkovers count as wins. That is just the luck of the draw and good luck to anyone lucky enough to get a walkover!
