So at least a whole doubles ATP point for 2 of our guys.

Given the whole new convoluted system, I am surprised they haven't got to share it half each.

A nice little England v Wales appetizer for the big rugby match on Saturday.  Good luck to them both although I am hoping Evan at least loses the rugby.  Sorry Evan.

Nice to see lots of GB players out there on a Friday....

It's 3-3 in both the matches here: Evan v Liam and Jack v Other

That is truly world class jinxing of the top order.  Well played Ace. smile

Must be so tough for Liam. Less than a year ago he came through Miami qualifying and reached the 2nd round, now he's had to drop down to futures level and has lost 7 games in a row to Evan Hoyt and on the verge of defeat - he has just saved 3 successive MP mind as well as a 4th.

Liam has held to be fair, after my prior jinxing, he'll probably come back to win this now, ha.

Jack into a decider 6-3 3-6 *0-0

Evan is the first player through to the semis:

QF:  (WC) Evan Hoyt ITF 66 (ATP 494) defeated (1) Liam Broady ITF 1544 (ATP 295) by 5 & 1  biggrin  bleh

Well played him!    He's playing an absolute blinder this week!  smile  Jack & Ejupovic now a set all.

Given that Evan has beaten the top seed, and last week's winner, took the doubles title last week, and made the 15k final in Tunisia the week before, he's really on a roll.

He's already our highest ranked ITF player and will have net new points this week. It's going to open up some of the higher tournaments to him.

Great job.

Feel rather for Liam though....

Would have been a match worthy of a final that.

But Evan is finally starting to pull through on the obvious potential he showed before getting injured.

Will be tough whoever he plays next.
