And with a guaranteed 4th this afternoon that gives us 4 out of 8 quarter finalists. Much better than I expected.

 Absolutely.

And worth noting that, of those 4, two are wildcards and one was accepted on the ITF reserved place list.

Great win for Evan:

L16:  (WC) Evan Hoyt ITF 66 (ATP 494) defeated (8) Tim van Rijthoven (NED) ITF 267 (ATP 450) by 4 & 4  biggrin

And another cracking win, with another pesky Dutchman biting the dust:

L16:  (IR) Jack Draper ITF 79 (ATP 561) defeated (IR) Gijs Brouwer (NED) ITF 30 (ATP 431) by 7-6(5) 6-2

I wish someone would see off bloody Sijsling!

L16:  (WC) Ryan Peniston ITF 217 (ATP 675) defeated (Q) Alexander Ritschard (USA) ITF 116 (ATP 623) by 4-6 7-5 6-1  biggrin

*****

QF:  (WC) Ryan Peniston ITF 217 (ATP 675) vs (2) Antoine Escoffier (FRA) ITF 307 (ATP 354)

Peniston, Escoffier and Shane (as well as Glasspool) all made the last 8 in barnstaple as well last week. Shane and Escoffier are of course seeded to make that stage both weeks, Peniston though is having a stand-out couple of weeks. Candidate for player of the month for February (if we put Dan Evo aside of course!)

Maybe two categories: ITF Player of the Month and ATP Player of the Month?
