WTA ranking takes preference over ITF ranking in 15K entry lists.

A 3rd counter or 10 points and a WTA ranking would surely be a real positive for Victoria if she can get it, then jumping ahead of all players with just an ITF ranking on entry lists.

Continues of course to be an absolute nonsense that otherwise, with no ITF ranking, she would remain behind these players with just their 15K ITF points. Victoria has now had 100K QR1 and QR2 wins and a 60K QR1 qualifying win to reach the FQR in each.

Not a confirmed source, but judging by that, looks like it was Heather who pulled out and doesn't sound too clever for Katie Swan either. Could potentially open up a LL spot for someone in Katie's case.

The draw has apparently been made, but I've not seen it yet.

 

Freya was in a video hitting with Jodie and some kids, so that'll confirm her very likely MDWC.

I was watching on Bet365, but dipping in and out trying to find out the draw amongst other things. Looking like a step to far at the moment, Reix takes the first set 6-1.

 It was pretty obvious Heather wouldn't be fit to play having spent all week ill in bed, but what a shame about Katie.

And then when you add in Harriet withdrawing, Katie B withdrawing (can kind of understand that being Fed Cup #2) Gabi not entering and Katy injured, it's a bit of a disaster really.

I'm sure the young'uns will give a good account of themselves and Jodie with a good draw could do damage, but in reality, considering they are all either Qs or WCs, it's quite likely that all GB interest will have ended in the first round, whereas this time last week they had 3 of the top 5 seeds. It's unfortunate and can't be helped in a lot of cases, obviously, but man, what a let down.

victorias match seems to have disappeared altogether now and it was on serve in the second. (Maybe after a break apiece)

Such a pity that Heather and Katie couldn't play. Just the four WC's left, plus Jodie - and perhaps Vicki, although that's looking doubtful.

The qualifying slots don't look too good either - one lucky loser place available.

Five pairs involved in the doubles - seven GB players. Pitaks have a WC, as do Lissey + Eden. Maia, Freya and Naomi are the other three involved.
