I there any chance Laura could get the LL spot?

There were three seeds knocked out on the FQR, so, no

No mention of seeds in the rules?

The Lucky Losers shall be ordered and selected as follows:
1. Players who have reached the final Qualifying round of the Qualifying competition; then
2. Players with a WTA or ITF World Tennis Ranking shall be randomly drawn; then
3. The order of Nationally Ranked and unranked players shall be randomly drawn.

I'm not sure if anyone is watching, but at 5-5 *40-40, Allen has just missed one of the easiest put aways I've seen for a while, and not even close either. Really hope that doesn't come back to haunt her.

Reix has just broken with the next point. 5-6*. Poor girl.

I was following, but couldn't find a stream.  She certainly  put up a good fight in the second set. Must be pretty gutted not to have got it to a tie break.  Are you there?

Well, fingers crossed.  I would drive over to watch were she  to get to play.  Mind you, I generally think I jinxed her in the past, so praps not!

Na, not there, just had the old Bet365 stream on.

She's done so well to win earlier and to get that 2nd set to 5-5 considering she's just 17 and playing players between 200-300.

She certainly did do well it seems.

Sorry, I posted in a hurry before going to eat. Different rules for ITF of course, all ranked losers from FQR get a chance. (was thinking three higher ranked players, draw from top two).
And Laura DID get the LL spot.

At least Laura got the lucky loser spot. Not seen her play live for a long time.
Very keen to see Fran Jones and how much Jodie has improved.

Sounds like quite a few forumites will be there.

Don't think anyone has done what TA has done, but with the singles. I'll not go into as much detail, but our girls have the following:

Freya vs Lisicki
Maia vs Grymalska
Laura vs Von Deichmann
Jodie vs Gramm'poulous
Fran vs Bolsova
Naomi vs Serban

Bar maybe Freya, there's nobody there where you'd say they've got little chance. Fran will have it tough, but she's against someone more used to clay (like herself). I can see a couple of wins there. It's just a shame, we could have had about 10+ in the draw and a few seeds as well. It's very conceivable that all or most will go out in the first round, whereas if some of our higher ranked girls were there, they'd be more likely to reach the latter stages. But, it is what it is, and it is a chance for some of our younger players to build momentum or in some cases like Maia, to get their 2019 going and it'll be interesting following their progress here and who knows, there could be a proper break out week for someone.

Has Alicia Barnett retired from tennis? She only appears to be playing doubles or have I missed something.

Nope, she was entered into a couple of 25k events earlier this but pulled out injured. I assume she is fine now, but obviously not enough single's WCs to go round for her to get into this, so it was doubles or nothing here.

Edit:- As Ace said, Lissey has still been entering tournaments, could have played a couple of qualies in far-off places but withdrew. Didn't get in here or get a WC. Currently 8th alternate for Glasgow.

One or two others similarly not playing right now for whatever reason.

She has one of those rankings that will struggle to get into 25ks qualies unless it is really weak.
There are a few girls in this category. Freya, Alicia, EWS, Beth, Robbo, Sam
Whereas Fran and Emily App can get in with their ITF ranking....

Maybe they need to play some ITFs by!pmup their ranking and get in that way
