Doesn't really matter but I think you've got the scores inverted, Michael, between Eden and Maia.
However, they both won in three sets, beating WAY higher ranked players.
And, as you say, with a guaranteed SF, and Lissey and Eden in the doubles final too, this has turned out to be a very nice little tourney for our players
If Eden wins that match vs Maia that's another 9 points and up to 85 and then a SF win away from being right in the mix.
Of course if Maia wins these additional points she will be establishing a gap for now and as said earlier she would certainly be comfortably into the top 400.

Two great wins well done both. Had high hopes for Maia a few years back but its not quite happened. Rated her in the Katie Boulter range. Would expect her to see off Eden who had done well to reach top 500 probably sitting at her peaking ability.
Didn't realise the winners were due to meet each other in the quarter finals and that's good news IMO - superb to get one through to the semi final. With Paquet flopping early and our girls exploits today, there's only one seed left in the bottom half and that's Amandine Hesse who is currently in the early stages of a deciding set against compatriot Harmony Tan who got that US Open WC last month despite being ranked circa 400 at the time (French playoff winner).
Think you ll find historically Ive been pretty spot on with range and ranking peak over the years Indy
Eden's got more upward potential if she can develop more of an edge to her game. She has the shots, often just not enough variety, or simply the determination to win. Oten when GB players play each the considered form and ranking go out the window. I wouldn't write off Eden's chances at all tomorrow.

Er, you came joint bottom in the female predictions for 2015, Jag.
And in the bottom half for 2016 and 2017.....
Not pointing a finger, all good fun, but just saying....
Very subjective the points awarded in that, not really a guide. And it was a competition rather than a realistic effort. So that means nothing. A lot of what I said over the years has came to fruition not based on 12 months guessing the order of rankings. Injuries and retirements make that competition flawed.
You mean the specific amount of points declared in advance and given for specific variations from actual GB and world rankings ( the further away the less points ) is very subjective.
