Anton's opponent in an earlier round got thrown out for similar to what Jack did there. Different circumstances / occasions, but he's got to be careful.

Wassermann was facing matchpoint and had a penalty point docked for a second offence

Yeah, assumed he must have had a prior warning and was alluding to the MP with the different circumstances part, but wouldn't say it was particularly good a junior getting warned for smashing his racket into the grass.

JD needed to slow that game right down, bit of experience lacking.

That was a really bad game at 4-4. Such a shame. Not sure all the show-boating helped. But it's all part and parcel. And now it's time to break again - simple....

Tseng serving for the match now at 4-5*, but considering the epic the other day, Jack can certainly hold his head up high here against a talented opponent.

Yep, a lot better than another match currently being played in similar circumstances.

168 games of tennis plus the final! Chuffed to bits he had the energy to chuck his racket. It will be very interesting to see how their careers go from this point.

Lots to like about Jack's game, great technique, not devoid of weapons, additional power and game craft will come but you cannot buy that capacity to fight when everything is against you.

A great week for Jack. That loss will really hurt should be top 5 junior off the back of this.

Great match when Jack really came to the party.

And on today, the one that looks to have most he can improve on is on Jack.

Great spirit, harness it better in time, work on the volleying skills to help finish off after some terrific groundies.

Very impressed

Gutted for him but he did have his fair share of chances in the 3rd especially on his own serve. But a great tournament and exciting times ahead for our junior boys.

I thought the BBC report on him was a bit harsh 'But Draper's wayward shots, as well as flashes of temper - he had to swap racquets after smashing one into the grass - were costly against the calm Tseng'.No need to make a feature of it , many players far more temperamental and childish than this 16 year old in my opinion.

Mercer's commentary about Anton Mat was just horrible - almost spiteful.

And, yes, today, for the commentators to say: "Jack's movement is weak/poor/a problem" without mentioning that he'd played 4.5 hours 48 hours ago, and to say "the question now is whether he has the mental rigour" or whatever their word was, when he'd come through SUCH a tough mental match in the semis, was just ridiculous, and unnecessary, and showed a lack of understanding.

Yes, I was very unimpressed with the commentary today. I'm certainly not looking for ra ra but the lack of positivity and understanding was grating. I didn't see that Anton match.
