RE: Weeks 27 & 28 - The Championships, Wimbledon - men's singles (grass)

One interesting result on the men's side:  Daniil Medvedev has beaten Borna Coric (16), hailed as a potential dark horse in The Times last week because of his win over Roger the Lodger in Halle last month, in straight sets!

I presume Cam will be moved to court 14 now or wait to see on 1?

Reportedly Coric had a foot injury. Unlucky timing if so. Medvedev knocked out Stan early last year (R1?) and won another round or 2. And then coin chucking incident.

Not looking too clever for Cam at the moment:  Aljaz takes the third set, also on a tie-break, to edge ahead.  cry

I think Aljaz has got this to be honest.

Aljaz breaks. Cam was 40-15 up in that.

Not a big surprise. Neither is the greatest grass court player but Aljaz has a distinct edge in terms of big game experience and I think Cam got a little tight as the match went on.

 I would agree with this.

Nice win for Aljaz, since he's defending R3 points. Onwards, Cam, still in the doubles.

Yes Cam got a bit out-manoeuvred in this one but you can see that he is learning all the time.
