Good/bad  to see Amy Bowtell there. She is a lot better than that.

 I don't understand. ......

Good to see she's still playing. Bad, she had a hat full of singles and doubles titles at 10k, CH <400 - I expected her to push on a bit. If she's'in Uni then that explains the hiatus. Used to play in a lot of the same events as Mandy. Has a younger "sister Anna"? who has also played for Ireland.

I have in my mind that someone mentioned Amy Bowtell having had a long term injury?

Yes, Amy has a hip injury, which limits what tennis she can play.
Article on her before playing Dublin in the summer.

2-0 down as Isaac and Laura lost, but the two big guns to come next. (Maia and Jack)

MTO for Jack at 3-6 7-6(3) *4-5

Jack saved 2 MP in the tie break but it wasn't enough and GB go 1-3 down.

I have to be vague but I came across BUCS at work recently and I was like "I know what this means!" (although they did also spell it in full)

Congrats to Durham university's Jonathan Binding, of the dubs 15k in Portugal today (with Gomez)

And congrats to the LTA and TASS for their player/coach programme that allowed Binding (and others like Olivia) to benefit.

GOLD MEDAL TABLE

13 @UoNSport
6 @LboroSport
5 @TeamDurham

Athough that's just men, maybe the women play today?

And what's the difference between trophy and championship?

But, whichver, way, congrats to Nottingham, who seemingly take gold medal.

A bit off topic but I was wondering if British Golf suffers from a mass exodus of our best young talent to US scholarships, or if it's just a tennis affliction.

No idea on the numbers but I think so. I suspect many sports have the same situation. USA offers partly/fully paid coaching, housing, meals, tuition, amazing facilities etc. U.K. Universities cannot compete with that really.

Different system to most of the rest of the world.

Agree with Kenneths points. Also the best sporting unis in the UK are generally the most academic (Bath, Notts, Luffs etc) whereas the USA has a wide variety of entry requirements - this year the NCAA requirement was to have sat 2 A levels for Div 1 and 2 and junior college is there for those that are less academic.
