Yes. A 16/17 year-old top junior who hasn't played adults is going to be about ATP 1000 level straight off, very approx.

That's about where you would put them if they had to have an administrative ranking.

So, given the level of this field, the results were not surprising as such.

What was excellent, though, is that juniors often lack consistency - great one day, can't repeat it the next - don't deal well with rain-breaks, say, or 'pro tactics' on the other side of the net designed especially to get a rise out of them, etc. etc.
So though each result was not a major surprise in itself, the run of them was very commendable, in my view. I wonder who he's over there with?
NB I saw the posts from the British High Commissioner in Uganda supporting George which I thought were cute.

From watching George last year, and listening to the noises the coaches were making, I got the feeling that keeping his head in the game was not always George's strong point. Which is strange because he has closed out lots of tight matches.
But it's true that he looks a bit 'vacant' or 'dreamy' on court some times - as noted last year, he has wonderful talent, above the norm, and a pick for me above Jack and Anton, though they have very good qualities too. But he looks a little AWOL at times. And this was getting the coaches very animated - it's obviously an issue for them.
However, to be honest, it may be that that keeps him chilled, and focused more on the tennis itself rather than the score, and so more able to play properly and freely.
So, personally, I'm not always sure that it's such a bad thing. (Tsonga was famous for never knowing the score, and not being 'match' focused, and it didn't do him any real harm).
Tyler will be interesting but there may be a 'let-down' effect from last week.

i won't go into detail but it relates to a non league football team, with no ground who won a play off final after a penalty shoot out in front of 3321 fans, they are now only 2 divisions from the football league. The blazing sun has scrambled my brain more than usual.
