Matilda (born 2004) made R2 last week, very solid, losing to the eventual winner.

And, as of 04/10/21, she is now ranked:

WTA 622 (+96)

Good stuff.

Though Matilda 'just' made R2 last week, indeed losing to the eventual winner Zoe Kruger and these 9 points from a 25K will be added in the next rankings update.

The 96 place rise today is in respect of her QF the previous week ( the second successive week she had made the QF ).

Congrats to Dean, who beat a pretty well-ranked player today in a 15k in Sharm:

Ananya Vartak (2003) also got one win in a 15k qualis, in Turkey, but lost in the next round.

Dean (2003) put up a good show but lost in R1 in 3 sets.

Jasmine (2004) won her R1 match but lost easily in R2 to Cadar, an experienced woman, who was top-400.

Jack PJ (2003) is going strong, currently having made the QFs of the 15k in Turkey.

Week 42 sees more action from our juniors.

Dean Cooper Kirby did very well, getting through qualis, beating a ranked player (ATP 1444), and only losing in three sets in R1.

In the 25k in Israel, Matilda has beaten a player ranked 463.

Jack is playing the 15k in Turkey

And, to note, Matilda is now WTA 599 - as DF pointed out, thanks to the three well-chosen and well-played W25 tournaments in South Africa, she was ranked WR 829 before and is now WR 599 (CH).
