Young Pitak's came through. The two highest quality matches were on court 1, with Nell outhitting Emma in a very good baseline match. Emma is a good lower tier player, so that was some scalp for Nell. Young Pitak's and Tanysha played a very good match. Not having seen Tanysha before, I was impressed. Bukit like a rake, but hits the ball hard, but moves very well and I would suspect she plays a lot on clay. Young Pitak has come on a bit since I last saw her and her serve has improved and she is more consistent. Holly was a break up in the final set and then made error after error and gifted the match away. Her ground shots were solid for a set and a half and got her into the match. Kimberley is erratic and her serves were somewhat unusual. Going for slow swingers until the end when she started serving big.
Olivia v Hannah was the battle of the big servers ultimately Hannah was slightly more consistent, but both were prone to silly errors. Kat Barnes came up against a good young French girl and she doesn't have the movement to cope at the moment. Alice Gillan won easily against a lightweight Lauren Bishop, however I can see why Alice has struggled to pick up points. Small and not too much power.
A couple of other things to note -the LTA are promoting applicants for wildcards and then awarding on merit rather than dishing out.

Laura Deigman did get in direct. Lillian Mould got the main draw wildcard. That is a suprise.
Draw is out. telstar's inside knowledge for doubles was found to be correct.
Decent chances for some youngsters to pick up ranking points. Gemma Heath has a good draw and young Pitak must have a decent chance of a third counter.

Especially surprising as Miss Mould was 11th on the alternate list!

As said, I was curious to hear about Tanysha - it's always difficult to have a feel for those who are based outside the UK. Glad to hear there was some impressive stuff there. Tx.
I've always liked Ola - she was very slight and small when I saw her (two years ago now?) which is not surprising as she was (is) very young - has she grown/filled out a bit? But I loved her mental strength and thought she had a good feel for the court and decent technique - good building blocks. Would be nice for her to get a third counter, if she can. Although I'd also be pleased if Alice got the win and secured her ranking - I rather liked her intensity and (without going overboard as the general level wasn't too high) she certainly stood out from the Q field last time I saw her.
I see that Emma Hurst has got in as a LL. Not really a fan of Emma's tennis although it's solid enough. Shame for Holly but the experience will do her good - she won't have played many players with the idiosyncratic style of someone like Kimberley.
The doubles draw has peskies as the four seeded pairs ( indeed they are the only peskies in the draw ). Non-bold prediction - they won't be the four semi finalists.
The massive turnout here and in in qualifying, makes this our largest number of entries of the year, 44 - there are 35 entries here, making it the most for any event of YTD.
That beats week 31, in which we had 39 total entries - 25 of which were at the Woking $25K, making that the joint second highest number of entrants in any single evet, tied with the Wirral $15K back in week 7.

Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.
Further scores in too. Pitak the elder put up a good show but lost to Stefanini the Italian #2 seed 3-6 3-6
Freya beat Lilian Mould 6-3 6-0 and Eden Silva beat Laura Deigman 3-6 6-1 6-1
Samantha won easily in 3 sets too.
Perhaps the only surprise so far is that Ella Taylor is serving for the first set against Jodie Anna Burrage *5-3
