Really wish I could watch this in the States. Sounds like he is playing some great tennis. I mentioned it on the other thread about Norrie, but I think clay could be his best surface once he gets some experience. His game matches it much better than faster hard and indoor courts.

Your "old boy" is doing you proud. What a performance so far. And I agree about the game style. He doesn't have the weapons that other players have but his match craft and precision is very suited to the clay.
Just gone 2 sets all and all the momentum is with him.
So back in 2015, ATP Ranking points where awarded to live DC wins. In Round 1, it was 40 points. 40 points for a win today for Cam would have put him up to 99 in the live rankings. Just saying...
Bautista may be the more experienced pro, but Cam's experience of team tennis in the USA college system might prove to be the telling factor here as the pressure comes on in the 5th set. He is used to the pressure of leading a team effort, something he did week in week out in the USA.
Many conflicting views about going to college or turning pro. So exciting to watch and great to see a player who has been through the college system playing for his country!!

From the BBC website, quote from Alistair Bruce-Ball of Radio Five Live:
"There's lots of raised eyebrows and shaking of heads among the journalists in the media centre and certainly no "I told you so"s, because I don't think anyone really saw this coming."
