Looks as if Joss is back into the top 100 and Laura into the top 180.

Jo getting more and more worked up about dodgy calls and chalk behind the baseline. Needs to channel that energy into her game, or it will run away in no time

As Vekic goes a break up in the final set, it's all reminding me of the match against Bouchard at Wimbledon last year.

The long wait goes on.
Jo could easily get a match like this first round at Wimbledon.

Credit to Vekic, who loves grass, and is looking better in general this year.
Still very disappointing considering the flow of the match.

Jo's had a lot of matches this week so that can only be a positive for the next few weeks. She couldn't quite recover from a wobble in the 2nd and Vekic played better and better as the match went on.
I do feel Jo needs to add a bit of variety to her game, there were a few drop shots today and they were effective but she couldn't get anything else going when her usual game wasn't getting her anywhere. As a side note glad the Baltacha trophy helps keeps Elena's memory alive.

What with Jo,s loss and qualies at Ilkley and Brum a pretty abysmal day.

There was a suggestion during the match that Jo should try and develop a serve and volley option for grass to add another dimension to her game.
