Could be a busy day for Emily and Ali with 3 matches since the order of play shows spots for the yet to be determined singles QFs as well as they try to catch up.

A disappointing day in singles, though Emily edged her first match before losing to a local girl who has played Ali twice recently (one victory each)

Loudmilla Bencheikh (FRA) d. Ali Collins 6-2 6-2

I am getting excited about the group of 4 of Emma, Holly, Kylie and Amelia. The first two seem to be a little ahead at the moment but the second two are only just getting started.

Guaranteed doubles title with Ali and partner swatting aside the top seeds 6-2 6-0. Emily & partner almost as convincing at 7-5 6-0

Girls Doubles F

Collins/Niemeyer (GBR/GER) v (6) Appleton/Rybakina (GBR/RUS)

Indeed, more to keep Emily and Ali on their toes

Well done girls on reaching the doubles final. May the best pair win.

I would love to see Holly and Emma really push each other to the extent they are focusing on 25k's in their final year of juniors however not meaning to wish their lives away plenty of fun to be had in juniors over the next couple of years and being on the cusp of the top 200 making progress in grade 2's already is a lovely place for both to be.

I agree with Kylie and Amelia following not too far behind the strongest cohort we have had for sometime.

Emily App ? Poor love, but she's an old lady now. Her junior days are for mainly academic/personal interest now.

Ali and Fran will keep the flag flying for the 2000-ers, with Eliz, Anna L, Nell, and anyone else who wishes to join them.

I think it will be interesting to see what the 2001-ers do. There's a big bunch of them, Esther and Gemma leading the way. And also if the other youngsters, Indy, Holly Staff, MJ, etc. make inroads on catching up Holly F and Emma R.

Well done girls.

Ali has certainly racked up a lot of doubles points with the 100 here I imagine her best yet. I've not seen her playing doubles but from her singles I can imagine her having a lot of good instincts for doubles. She's more willing to move forward than most youngsters and try such as little angled shots.
