As before, it's not just Ed's position in the live rankings that's rather impressive but his points to defend in rest of the year being practically zero (the complete opposite of quite a few other players).

Well done Ed - it'll be his 18th Futures singles final (19 singles finals including the Challenger earlier this year) and he was a W 7 L 10 record in them. Two of those previous finals were in Sweden, in successive weeks almost exactly two years ago, and he won them both.

Yes. Ed seems to like Sweden. Let's hope he can make it 3 from 3 for Swedish finals to finish off an excellent week.

No breaks in the 1st set. Ed was 4-2 up at the first changeover in the tiebreak but has since lost 3 points in a row.
