R1: Heather WATSON (GBR) 64 v. Samantha STOSUR (AUS) [13] 14 (CH 4, Feb. 2011)
>H2H 0-1
>2015 Hong Kong - WTA International - Hard - QF - Stosur by (4), 3 & 0
Hmm, seems stange that (13) Stosur has taken (9) Kuznetsova's place. I would have thought the top non seed would have come in there i.e. a (17).
Altough I can see the argument for moving Stosur into the the now vacated ( by Kuznetsova moving ) spot from the (9) to (12) seeds I am pretty sure this is all more extensive rejigging than normal. Certainly I've seen the ATP ( and indeed Wimbledon ) do much less in similar circumstances than rebalancing all the seeding brackets, which seems to be what they have done here.

Moves Heather's chances from non existent to incredibly unlikely, but always a chance Sam will have one of those days when she is shanking everything in sight!
Naomi's first serve goes missing, 3 dfs, yet she saves 2 bps before eventually holding 4-1*
Nicole again saves bp *4-2
Naomi saves bp in another long game 5-2*
Nicole holds relatively easily *5-3
Naomi loses the opening point but takes the next four for a super win 6-3. Finished with 15 aces and 15 dfs. 51% of first serves in play, winning 84/34. Managed to save 8 bps in the 2nd and 3rd sets having gone 0/2 in the opening set. Also managed to win 5/7 bps on return.
