I dont have the channel to watch such things on (dont even know what channel I'd need) - for those who watched - what do you think his chances are against a rejuvenated Nadal tomorrow? Really would love to see that one!
He pushed Nadal pretty hard at Monte Carlo a few weeks ago and might have won had he not started to retreat in the second set. In the first Andy was dominating court position, being aggressive and stepping inside the baseline to hit winners and push Nadal around. Once Nadal found some rhythm and a little more velocity on his shots Andy dropped back and went into his default defensive mode and Rafa slowly took control from there.
The key in Madrid is to stay aggressive, he will make mistakes and the occasional UE but better that than letting Nadal dictate. On the plus side Andy has looked far better against Simon and Berdych than he did at any point in Monte Carlo and additionally the courts here are faster which again should help Andy. It is going to be a sensational match I hope although to be honest I would be quite happy if Joao Sousa took care of Rafa today.
QF: (2) Andy Murray WR 2 defeated (8) Tomas Berdych (CZE) WR 8 by 3 & 2

And it's yet another rematch with Rafa in the semi.
SF: (5) Rafael Nadal (ESP) (CH = 1 in August 2008) vs (2) Andy Murray WR 2
The head-to-head is a massive 17-6 in Rafa's favour, though Andy did take him to three sets in Monte-Carlo & Andy beat him by 3 & 2 to take the Madrid title last year...
...if Andy were to beat Rafa, then lose in the final, he would be tied for WR2 with Federer. Bonus points for knowing how they would seed next week in Rome...

Andy will be seeded #2 whatever, because it's the current rankings that will determine the seedings for Rome. I claim my points
As to who would be WR 2 this coming Monday, I think it would be Fed. I've got it in the back of my mind that Grand Slam ranking points is a tiebreaker and Fed leads on that.
