British doubles specialist Colin Fleming has said he is "buzzing" after beating fifth seeds Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli to make it into the US Open second round.
The achievement is all the more impressive considering he had never played with his partner, Treat Huey of the Philippines, before.
The pair only agreed to pair up on the mobile phone app Whatsapp in the run-up to the tournament.
Fleming, 31, said: "I'm buzzing with the result... I don't know who we face next. We had such a tough first round draw I didn't look any further than that."
For the record, Colin & Treat will face either big Sam Groth & Lleyton Hewitt (CR 249) or Henri Kontinen & Horacio Zeballos (CR 140) in the second round.
