Certainly don't get dominance in the doubles in the same way as singles, but that's a really cracking win for Dom, particularly at grand slam level where they play "proper" games and sets

Yay, very good from Dom and Robert

I'm no real follower of the doubles scene in general, just really Brits focussed so can't really add re Dodig & Melo. But pointswise they are the best ranked players in the world after the Bryans, though a fair bit behind them.

Doubles really is a lottery a lot of time in my opinion as Oakland says that's one if my problems with it but well done to Dom and and Treat anyway

Much less of a lottery at the grand slams and especially Wimbledon though...

I'm abit confused now with this.

I've got dom won, Aljaz lost, Jamie won. Have the rest not played yet?

I really hope that this partnership has some legs in it and that it isn't just s short term thing.  They are looking very strong right now.

Excellent!   jump.gif  And I echo your sentiments on the partnership, Bob.  Long may it continue. Image result for fingers crossed emoji

No.  Why the confusion?

The doubles only started yesterday and then only to a limited extent.

Monday and Tuesday, they needed all the courts for the singles and it would still have been logistically impossible to play all the R1 doubles matches on Wednesday, quite apart from them presumably avoiding having players playing both singles and doubles on the same day. With one less round in doubles compared to singles ( and just best of 3 sets even for the men ), there is no particular haste anyway.

Congrats by the way to them for actually managing this year to show that it is possible to get the R1 singles done and dusted before Wednesday and thus not have the US Open uniquely then ongoing out of kilter men / women schedule of previously.

Thanks, it felt like the dubs had been going for a while, but I couldn't see the rest of the British results for R1. I didn't realise it had only started yesterday.
