For some reason it's a Friday finish - possibly to get players and officials across to Surbiton and Nottingham qualifying.

Do they seriously think that any of our quali girls are likely to be playing in the final ???

Not ours CD, just anyone. They don't want any player to have to pull out of the WTA qualies over the weekend.

Usually events wouldn't care but its a nice gesture. Also gives the grass an extra days rest before the WTA event.

Amazed by Tara so far

Good point, PaulM. I forgot that they were WTA events - thought it was ITFs (i.e. the good players would be in directly).
