Both the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 indexes are now at exactly the same place, just lower in fact, than they were 5 years ago. So , in essence, the markets have reduced in real terms significantly over that period.
And my pension and yours is tied up there.

While being investigated for a possible breach of the ministerial code, Boris Johnson has rewritten the code so that a breach is no longer an automatic resigning offense.
Oh gawd, many reports that Boris Johnson is planning to announce the return to widespread allowance of imperial measurements to mark the Queen's platinum jubilee. But suggested to be much more about garnering support among Brexiteers in battleground constituencies.
In other news, Jacob Rees-Mogg is proposing that the British calendar should revert back to the 1960s.
I think he will win - just. I also think that would be the worst result for the Tory party. If he then gets heavily defeated in the upcoming by-elections, there could be an outbreak of civil war within the party.
I understand that in by-elections there is almost always an element of protest vote against the incumbent government, but the latest polling from Wakefield is shocking.
148 against - thats a big hole in the ship IMO. He will no doubt continue but its going to be hard
They really should have got rid of him now, given someone new a long run at an election. Im speaking as a non Tory voter though - Id be more confident of beating Johnson now than someone different
Yes, as folk are saying he will indeed no doubt carry on. He lives by different rules and tradition.
Some of the stuff his creepy crawly supporters are coming out with after the vote is comical, well if it wasn't so serious.
Yep - one guy said he only won the original vote to be leader with 51 percent and this time he has got 60 percent so its a massively positive result! Errr..:

Yep, no-one of course can tell the difference between a vote % in a leadership contest and a vote of no confidence in your party leader.
It really is treating the listening public as if they were idiots, assuming that they are not simply idiots themselves.
Imagine going to Old Trafford on a day when away supporters are banned, having 41% of the home crowd boo their own team and trying to spin that as a positive LOL.
