RE: Week 12 - Great Britain F5 ($15,000) - Shrewsbury (hard)

Three matches and three defeats as Jonny loses 6-2 - all had opportunities

Marcus 4-1 down to Dave Rice

So disappointed for Bambo as he served for the match as well.

Did wonder from one of Jonny's tweets if he had inured himself again but it appears that he still went out and played doubles. So if there was an injury issue, it couldn't have been too serious.

As with others, gutted for Bambo. He just seemed in control almost all the way through, only to lose at the death.

There did appear to be a delay during the second set so I am guessing he picked up a slight injury but that it wasn't anything serious.

Excellent win for Tom, although not too unexpected given Van Der Duim's recent form.

We should have a finalist from the bottom half of the draw.

Dave Rice seems like he is coming back into some sort of form, but can be overcome the talented young Frenchman next?

Nice to see Milts fit and winning matches.

Really pleased that Dave R seems to have found some form, despite the fact he beat "cartman" today. Hoping Dave can make it through from the top half of the draw. As for the bottom half, I will find myself cheering for Josh M, having spent three days watching him in Marseille earlier this year. Having said that, no objections whatsoever to Dan C or Tom making the final either.

I've not seen Tom on any entries lists for the next few weeks, so I can only assume finances are preventing him from playing full time on tour. Given the lack of futures in GB, he will struggle to keep that ranking.

As I have mentioned before I believe he is the most naturally talented player and if he played full time could make top 200 easily.

I was there today and he did have a medical time out at one stage and I think RJA's assumption is correct.

That's a weird H2H between Ricey and Marcus 7-1 now in Ricey's favour.
I agree that Tom would be much higher in the rankings if he played a full schedule, but when I've watched his matches I've always thought he's lacked a major weapon more relying on a limited UE count. So a top 200 ranking might a be a little too far but certainly top 300.
Shame for Jonny but some bad luck with injury and losing his funding have stalled his progress. Still plenty of time on his side though. Got the ball striking ability.
