From 40-0 4-3 up, Dave barely won a point :(

Real shame for Dave who went down 7-6(3) 6-4. His form does seem to be returning though so that is good news.

Tom is *0-5 down which I really didn't expect. Saving himself for a big come back I hope.

Dan C is a break up at *3-2 on Josh M

Edit

Josh breaks back. 3-3

TOm looks like he's woken up - now 4-1* up in the second, having lost the first 1-6

Only real consolation about that set of results is that it at least means I won't have any split loyalties come the semi finals tomorrow.

Arguably, you could say Dan should win it from here.

That is a very small consolation, Bob. I did think Tom would win and I hadn't much clue about the Dave / Quentin match other than that Dave might win it.

Anyway, c'mon Jan, I mean Dan :)

Be nice for Dan to get the win this week after his radio exposure.

Cox aside Wirral and Shrewsbury have been two very disappointing tournaments for British tennis.

Agree RJA - I expected 3 semi finalist given the draw. We only got 1....

At least lucky that Jeff Stelling had another recent rant about Dan.

Previously, the effects have been pretty immediate and lasted the whole of the following year.

It may have been coincidence, but hey ...

Not often we see the doubles up first on a Friday.

Does that mean has requested an early start to make a trip for a challenger sign in? Marcus perhaps?
